“I built this because I practise in these rooms myself. The guides are what I learned doing it. They are checked against real data, not spun articles. The games are what my friends and I wanted to play. Nothing here is filler.”

Frequently asked questions.

Everything worth knowing, answered plainly.

TrackOnSight is an independent resource for people who practise languages by talking out loud on Free4Talk, the free voice-room platform. Its core is a library of original, first-hand guides on how to actually get better at speaking. Around those guides sit supporting tools: a live view of which rooms are active right now, optional browser alerts, party games, and free room bots. It is community-built and not endorsed by or affiliated with the Free4Talk team.

No. Free4Talk is a separate website where people practise languages in live voice rooms. TrackOnSight is an independent companion built around it. We don't run Free4Talk and aren't affiliated with them. Think of Free4Talk as the place you talk, and TrackOnSight as the guides and tools that help you get more out of it.

No account is required for the vast majority of features. Reading the guides, browsing the live room directory, checking language stats and leaderboards, playing the games, and setting browser alerts all work without logging in. An account is only used to sync the people and rooms you follow across different devices.

No. Push notifications work completely without an account on a single device. Open any user or room page, click Watch, and allow browser notifications when prompted. That's all. Signing in is only needed if you want your watchlist to sync across multiple devices or different browsers.

Very live. The directory reflects what is happening on Free4Talk in as little as 3 seconds, so when you see a room listed as busy, there really is a conversation going on right now. During a brief hiccup it refreshes every 10 seconds instead, with no scheduled downtime.

TrackOnSight has collected every session since early 2026. All data is stored permanently in our database. There is no expiry date, so history grows continuously and every historical data point remains queryable from the dashboard.

Yes. The guides, the live directory, leaderboards, language stats, push notifications, games, and the room bots are all free and will remain free. Premium features with extended watchlist limits or longer notification history may be introduced later, but the fundamentals will always be accessible to everyone at no cost.
